July 3rd

Hey today is July 3rd. After today I feel so fit! We rode our bikes all the way around Jekyll Island. I of course had some technical difficulties. First of all, my bike ways a ton! And to add to the weight I was the family pack mule because I am the only one with a basket. I had a cooler of drinks sticking out of by basket and it was HEAVY! Then guess what... my kickstand fell off!!!! I couldn't park my bike unless there was a tree to lean it on! But all in all it was sooo much fun. It was a beautiful place.

July 2nd

Hey today is July 2nd. I got to do some things today that I have never done before. First we went to a kind of arts fair. It was really fun and I got a chance to use my new camera. Then we went to a farmers market. It was soooo much fun. Then after our little venture we did something else new. We went to the beach to test out my bro's new surfboard. It took him about 3 minutes to get board so I got to try. the only problem was when I was laying on the board a huge wave hit me and somehow a jellyfish landed on my leg! I had to go up to the lifeguards and let them spray vinegar on me! But I went back out eventually and now I can almost ride on my knees! (Surfing isn't really my thing.) Well I hope my Jellyfish sting goes away.

July 1st

Hey today is Saturday July 1st. First of all I took a break for a little while because honestly I did nothing but sit on my lazy booty. Today was interesting but a lot of fun. I have been waiting all summer to get together with friends but sadly I'm not very good at it. Today I got to go skating with one of my friends. The interesting part was that she didn't tell me that she didn't know how to skate! It was fun though. When I got back from my skating trip I found out that my brother had bought a surfboard. Quite an interesting day.

June 23rd

Hey today is Thursday June 23. There isn`t much that I would consider worthy of mentioning. I did however enjoy our family outing to the friendship fountain. My favorite part was the icecream because of course I LOVE icecream.

June 22nd

Hey today is Wednesday June 22. I have to admit today wasn't the best day. I had to get a cavity filled. It wasn't the most enjoyable experience. I can't feel the left side of my face. As a wise comedian (Bill Cosby) once said "my libapip is hangadin on da flobawr!"...Yay my face is no longer numb! I really enjoy electronics and I was helping my dad fix up an old pinball machine this evening. It was so cool! I felt like I was solving a mystery. I kept expecting it to suddenly start working and sing its loud, proud song..."PING PING PING PONG!" Life is getting a little more interesting.

June 21st

Hey today is Tuesday June 21. Guess where I am... in a land where there is no air conditioning! The air conditioner in our house is frozen and I think I am going to die. I love Florida....when its not this hot. I have probably whatched more movies today than I did yesterday so guess who's brain feels like mush. Hope I have more fun later this summer.

June 20th

Hey today is Monday June 20. Today might have been the single most fun day that I have had so far this summer. What did I do today? I watched 5 movies! And it was awsome! I have to say I havn't had such a relaxing day all year. There was always something to do especially during the school year. Its really nice to relax! Hope everyone is enjoying whatever they are doing this summer whether they are relaxing or not.

June 19th

Hey today is Sunday June 19. Our Fathers Day was awesome! Our day started with eating a wonderful Fathers Day breakfast of cereal! Woo hoo! Then we made our way to the pool and swam until I literally got sick to my stomach. Then we got to go to an awesome fish restaurant and made the mistake of sitting outdoors in the insane heat. I hope Everyone had a wonderful fathers day too.

June 18th

Hey today is Saturday, June 18. This morning I got to go see the grand re-opening of the Friendship Fountain. The fountain is beautiful and it was really important to me to see it because last week I had the opportunity to go take pictures during a lighting test and have my pictures published on a website (mysanmarco.com). It was amazing. After getting home my mom and I cooked a Colombian meal for my grandpa. The funny thing is that he isn't Colombian or even Spanish but I guess he just likes what he likes. After stuffing ourselves we did absolutely nothing. It became sort of a relaxing end to an awesome day. But now I am looking forward to seeing the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. I hope its good....OK so I saw the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie and I L-O-V-E-D it! I hope Fathers Day will be great for everyone!

June 17th

Hey today is Thursday June 17. I just got back from the beach with my youth group. That however was not necessarily the highlight of my day. Today was the last day of vacation bible school and all the children got to sing the songs that we have been learning all week. I know this sounds cheesy but I was so proud of some of those children. One little girl in particular barely spoke a word to anyone all week except for me. Today I got to see her suddenly start singing and dancing and having a ton of fun. I really enjoyed teaching them this week. I am very lucky because I was able to pass out business cards to many of their parents and might be able to babysit them! Yesterday I said that I might be able to get the money I need for my new camera, well this is how. I have another question about snack time though. What the heck! There are always a couple kids that don't like the snack I give them and those kids always expect something else to eat! What if didn't have anything else? Would they eat me? Then everybody always wants seconds but they don't realize that I don't have enough snack for everyone to have seconds! Gosh you would think that their parents never feed them anything! Well I'm sure glad I got to do it though.

June 16th

Hello! It is Thursday June 16 and tomorrow I will have been out of school a week. Honestly the only thing I have done so far that is even worth writing about is the fact that I might be able to get enough money to buy the $600 camara that I have been saving for. I also was able to be a camp counselor for 24 kindergarteners. I don't know if anyone will understand this but...how many times does a 5 year old have to go to the bathroom in three hours? Really! And why do you need a band-aid because you have a paper cut. If you are not gushing blood then don't make me run all the way across the building to get you a band-aid! So anyway I hope my summer gets a little more interesting.

The Point

This summer is going to be different than any summer I have ever known. I'm not sure what I'll be doing but I know I'm going to have fun. Follow me on my "adventures" over the summer.
